One day workshop on astronomy was jointly organised by BSS district chapter ,Jawahar Balbhavan and astronomy club . Dr. C.S Menon (Director( retd ) School of Pure and Applied Physics M.G university) inaugurated the workshop. He also took a class on modern astronomy .He dealt upon topics from atomic physics to cosmology .Dr K.K.G Pillai (Prof.( Retd) N.S.S College) and renowned amateur astronomer took class on astronomy and astrology .K Thankappan,Amateur Astronomer took class on positional astronomy.Prof P.N Thankachan presided over the programme.
